So, are you ready to find out what it really takes to be an entrepreneur?

Robert talks about entrepreneurs - people like Richard Branson and Oprah Winfrey, who are some of the richest folks out there. Some say entrepreneurs are born with special talents, but Robert believes anyone can become one. Think about kids who run babysitting or handyman businesses they’re entrepreneurs because they don’t let fear stop them. We adults often lose that courage.

The key thing is that entrepreneurs have two important qualities: they don’t get stuck overthinking or scared (“ignorance” ), and they have the courage to take risks. Lots of us dream about starting our own business but don’t because we’re too afraid. Even the smartest among us sometimes hold back because we’re too careful. So, courage is just as important as knowledge.

Have you heard about “A Tale of Two Hairstylists”?

It’s a story about two hairstylists. One is very talented but afraid to open her own salon, so she stays stuck. The other isn’t as experienced but bravely starts her own salon and it grows! This shows us that being brave can matter more than just skill.

Robert also shares his own story. Back in 1974, he had no job, no money, and no business know how just courage. That courage helped him succeed later on. This reminds us that our fears hold us back, but when we’re brave, we can do amazing things.

We don’t need to have everything figured out. We just need to take that first step, even when we feel unsure. This story is great for anyone of us who needs a little push to chase our dreams.

What about feedback? Is it important for us?

Robert says yes feedback is a powerful tool for learning and growing. It’s like checking our weight or bank balance it tells us what’s working and what’s not.

Sometimes feedback can be uncomfortable, but it helps us get better. Robert learned this the hard way from his time in the Marines and from successful people like his “rich dad” and Donald Trump, who gave him honest feedback.

The problem is, many places today avoid giving honest feedback because they don’t want to upset anyone. But without real feedback, we can get stuck.

Here are three important things for us to remember about feedback:

  1. We need to be brave and open to receiving feedback because it helps us improve. That’s why successful people often have coaches or mentors they actively seek feedback.

  2. We should only give feedback or advice if someone asks for it. Nobody likes advice they didn’t ask for. (Like the saying goes: “Don’t teach pigs to sing.”)

  3. We should watch out for people who only tell us what we want to hear instead of what we need to hear. They might take advantage of us if we’re unsure or uninformed.

Robert also points out that some common advice, like “diversify your investments” or “live below your means,” isn’t always the smartest. For example, Warren Buffett doesn’t follow those rules but lives happily on his own terms very different from Donald Trump.

So, let’s ask ourselves:

• Are we living the life we truly want?

• Are we just following advice that benefits others more than us?

• Are we spending time with people who support our goals?

Finally, let’s listen to our own feedback our thoughts and feelings because they give us the best guidance. They help us become healthier, smarter, richer, and happier. Success comes when we have the courage to learn from ourselves.
