In 2024, India’s Information Technology (IT) sector achieved remarkable growth, generating revenue of Rs. 21,93,544 crore (US$ 254 billion). This performance cements India's reputation as a leading global digital force. Operating in over 80 countries, Indian companies deliver innovative solutions to Fortune 500 corporations, leveraging advancements in AI and quantum computing. Mr. Prasada highlighted that India's dynamic workforce, innovation-centric environment and robust policy frameworks are critical factors sustaining its leadership in AI and the digital economy. He also reiterated that India’s AI strategy is closely aligned with goals of economic progress, skill enhancement and digital inclusion, ensuring technological advancements benefit all segments of society.
