Summary :

The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, through WaveX Startup Accelerator, launched the “Kalaa Setu Real-Time Language Tech for Bharat” Challenge, inviting AI startups to build real-time solutions that automatically generate audio, video, and graphic content from text in multiple Indian languages, addressing scale, speed, and linguistic diversity in governance communication. The focus areas are text-to-video, textto-audio, and text-to-graphics, enabling customised, engaging, and expressive content for regional audiences like farmers (weather alerts), students (exam updates), and senior citizens (healthcare schemes). Startups can apply via the WaveX portal by July 30, 2025, with winners getting pilot project support and incubation. Additionally, the ‘Bhasha Setu’ real-time language translation challenge remains open till July 22, 2025. Both initiatives aim to bridge language gaps through AI, promote startups, and strengthen inclusive digital governance.
