Summary :
Tata Steel has signed an MoU with Australia-based InQuik Group to bring modular bridge systems to India. This partnership merges Tata Steel’s manufacturing expertise with InQuik’s award-winning, ready-to-install bridge technology. Using prefabricated steel moulds filled with concrete on-site, the system allows for faster, cost-effective, and durable bridge construction, particularly in difficult terrains. The initiative aims to bridge infrastructure gaps in remote areas facing poor connectivity and limited access to heavy machinery. It also aligns with India’s goal of building strong transport networks to cut travel time, boost trade, and connect underserved regions. For Tata Steel, this marks a move from just supplying raw materials to offering integrated infrastructure solutions. CEO & MD Mr. T.V. Narendran stressed the company’s focus on smart, sustainable construction for modern India. InQuik Group CEO Mr. Logan Mullaney said the collaboration is a key step in their global expansion, enabling quick and resilient infrastructure delivery in India. The next phase will involve selecting ideal sites to implement this technology.
