In 2024-25, Aadhaar number holders completed over 2,707 crore authentication transactions, including 247 crore in March alone. Aadhaar is critical to India's digital economy, supporting sectors such as banking, finance, telecommunications, and government services. In March 2025, authentication transactions totaled 246.75 crore, surpassing both last year's and February's levels. Since its inception, total authentication transactions have exceeded 14,800 crore, demonstrating its increasing value and usage.

UIDAI's AI/ML-based Face Authentication has grown dramatically, with over 15 crore transactions expected in March 2025. This system is currently used by more than 100 government and business entities. On April 21, 2025, UIDAI received the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Public Administration in the Innovation category. In March 2025, Aadhaar's e-KYC service saw a 6% increase, with 44.63 crore transactions completed, including 20 lakh new Aadhaar numbers and 1.91 crore updates.
