Sharing his thoughts on social media platform X, he reaffirmed the government’s steady focus on enhancing healthcare systems and investing in the nation's overall wellness. He also addressed the rising concern of obesity in the country, urging citizens to cut down their cooking oil use by 10%. Citing recent data, he warned that more than 440 million people in India could face obesity-related issues by 2050 if preventive steps are not taken.

World Health Day 2025 is being observed with the World Health Organisation’s theme Healthy Beginnings Hopeful Futures. India has renewed its commitment to inclusive healthcare delivery through major programmes like Ayushman Bharat and the National Health Mission. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported that platforms such as eSanjeevani and the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission have significantly improved access to digital health services, especially for maternal and child health. These efforts continue to strengthen the country’s public health framework. Observed every year on April 7 since 1950, World Health Day marks the founding of the WHO in 1948 and serves as a reminder to focus global attention on urgent health priorities.
