According to a CAIT analysis based on data from 75 cities, this year's wedding season is projected to infuse $70.43 billion (Rs. 5.9 trillion) into the economy across a variety of products and services. Mr. Praveen Khandelwal emphasized the increased consumer demand for Indian-made items, which supports Prime Minister Modi's 'Vocal for Local' campaign. This trend is expected to continue, benefiting Indian producers.
