Summary:
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has partnered with Meta to launch two initiatives: an AI Assistant for the Skill India Mission and five Centres of Excellence (CoEs) in Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) at National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) across the country. Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary emphasized that merging AI, VR, and MR will increase access to advanced technology. An AI-powered chatbot will enhance the Skill India Digital (SID) Portal by offering 24/7 assistance and supporting users with a variety of tasks via WhatsApp in multiple languages.
The five CoEs will utilize innovative VR technology to improve skill development for both learners and instructors in immersive environments. These CoEs will provide realistic simulations, increasing student engagement and access to training. Skillveri will supply unique VR and MR resources, curriculum, and training. This collaboration with Meta supports India's AI Mission, which aims to create a collaborative framework for effective AI solutions that promote socioeconomic development, revolutionizing student interactions with course content in the future.
