Amazon has declared its commitment to facilitate US$ 80 billion in exports from India by 2030, collaborating with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to establish India as a global manufacturing powerhouse. Amit Agarwal, Senior Vice President for Emerging Markets, emphasized the company's focus on exports, with plans to triple efforts in India. Previously, Amazon vowed to digitize 10 million MSMEs, generate $20 billion in exports, and create 2 million jobs by 2025.

 

Amazon met its target of digitizing 10 million small businesses a year ahead of schedule, enabling nearly 12 million to enter the digital economy. It has facilitated over US$ 13 billion in exports and generated around 1.4 million jobs in India. Amazon's Smbhav Venture Fund, which accounts for 3% of India's B2C exports, has also committed US$ 120 million to invest in manufacturing firms, further promoting India's manufacturing growth.
