Summary:

The Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) 2024, with a budget of $58.91 million (Rs. 493.55 crore), will support up to 3.72 lakh electric vehicles from April to July. This initiative aims to promote green transportation and bolster India's electric vehicle sector.

The EMPS 2024 program will assist 3,72,215 electric vehicles, including 3,33,387 two-wheelers, 13,590 e-rickshaws, and 25,238 three-wheelers. Subsidies will be available until the budget is exhausted or July 31, 2024, whichever comes first.
