Union Minister Piyush Goyal and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo convened the 6th Commercial Dialogue in Washington, where they discussed improvements in semiconductor supply chains and the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. They signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop and diversify critical minerals supply chains, focusing on exploration, extraction, processing, and recycling while utilizing each country's capabilities to enhance sector resilience.

 

Both leaders applauded efforts to secure semiconductor supply chains and agreed to collaborate under the new MoU for advantageous economic opportunities, investments, and technological partnerships. They praised the effectiveness of recent roundtables that connected the startup ecosystems of both countries and expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming Global Diversity Export Initiative Trade Mission to India in March 2025, aimed at boosting U.S. SMEs.
