Summary:

According to FADA, retail vehicle sales in India increased by 11.21% in November to 32,08,719 units, driven by high two-wheeler demand. Two-wheeler sales rose by 15.8% to 26,15,953 units, boosted by seasonal demand. However, passenger vehicle sales fell by 13.72% to 3,21,943 units, due to weak market sentiment and fewer new releases. Commercial vehicle sales decreased by 6.08%, while three-wheeler sales increased by 4.23% to 1,08,337 units.

FADA President, Mr. Chittur Selvakumar Vigneshwar, cited low marriage-related sales and the late occurrence of Deepawali as factors influencing November's results. Rural demand supported twowheelers, but PV inventory remained high at 65-68 days, prompting FADA to advise OEMs to reduce inventories. December's outlook is stable, with potential for growth, but weak consumer sentiment and delayed purchases remain challenges. Year-end discounts and a favorable macroeconomic environment boost confidence.
