Summary:

Passenger car shipments to dealerships increased by 4% year-on-year to 3,47,522 units in November 2024, reflecting ongoing demand following the October holiday season, according to SIAM. Dispatches in November 2023 totaled 3,33,833 units. Maruti Suzuki dominated the market with 1,41,312 units, representing a 5% increase. Hyundai’s shipments decreased to 48,246 units, while Mahindra & Mahindra saw a 16% rise, shipping 46,222 units.

 

Two-wheeler wholesales witnessed a 1% YoY decrease in November 2024, with 16,04,749 units compared to 16,23,399 units in November 2023. Scooter sales increased by 12% to 5,68,580 units, while bike shipments fell by 7.5% to 9,90,246 units. Moped sales rose 6% to 45,923 units. Threewheeler dispatches also fell by 1% to 59,350 units. Despite the absence of Diwali, passenger car sales reached a record 3.48 lakh units.
