From January 2022 to July 2024, India maintained steady fuel prices while many advanced nations experienced increases. On August 14, he announced an increase in Petronet LNG's Dahej terminal capacity to 22.5 MMTPA from 17.5 MMTPA, supporting India’s goal of energy self-sufficiency. The Dahej terminal remains India's largest LNG storage facility.
