Summary:

The ChipIN Centre at C-DAC aims to boost India's semiconductor ecosystem by providing advanced electronic design automation (EDA) technologies that support chip design cycles up to 5 nm nodes. It offers infrastructure, IP cores, and expertise for chip design, manufacturing, and packaging through the Chips to Start-up (C2S) Program and the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) Scheme. It currently serves 20,000 students across 250+ institutions, with a goal of reaching 85,000.

 

Siemens has expanded its EDA tool usage from 120 to 250+ universities under the C2S Programme. Additionally, it has extended its Veloce™ hardware-assisted verification solution to DLI-approved enterprises. With 128 CPU cores and 640 million gates, the Veloce platform provides sufficient computing capacity for complex SoC and IC designs. This collaboration strengthens India's semiconductor capabilities, fosters innovation, and aligns with India's goal of a self-sustaining semiconductor ecosystem.
