To address the rise in rail accidents, Railway Board Chairperson Ms. Jaya Verma Sinha announced that AI-powered CCTV cameras will be installed on all locomotives and key yards. During a press conference in Prayagraj, Sinha explained that these cameras will monitor for unusual conditions. She also mentioned that security agents will patrol railway tracks during the Kumbh Mela to prevent damage.

Sinha reviewed preparations for the Kumbh Mela and expressed optimism that infrastructure and capacity projects will be completed soon. For Kumbh 2025, over 900 special trains are planned, up from 530 in 2019, with more than 30 crore pilgrims expected. Emergency management plans are currently in progress. Prayagraj Junction will be developed into an Amrit Bharat Station, with part of the construction completed before the Kumbh and the remainder finished within 1 to 2 years.
