India has agreed to supply BrahMos missiles worth Rs. 3,800 crore (US$ 440.27 million) to Indonesia. India has previously sold BrahMos missiles to the Philippines under a contract valued at Rs. 2,891.39 crore (US$ 335 million), with additional shipments expected soon. Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and several Middle Eastern countries are interested in the joint venture missile system developed by India and Russia. During Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto's state visit in January 2024, discussions focused on enhancing defense cooperation, with memorandums of understanding signed in areas such as health, maritime, and cultural exchange, all with an emphasis on regional peace and security.
