Speaking at the Global Bio-India 2024 Summit, he emphasised the country's progress in research and innovation. A recent Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) research rated India in the top five countries in 45 out of 64 technologies, up from 37.

 

He emphasised India's ascension to second position internationally in biological manufacturing and lauded the Bio-E3 biotechnology strategy for promoting economic growth, environmental sustainability, and job creation. The policy currently incorporates energy transition, which addresses global warming. He emphasised the importance of collaboration among research institutions, universities, businesses, and the government in creating a sustainable, innovative biotech environment that incorporates emerging technologies such as quantum computing and AI, which are critical for achieving a carbon-neutral future through carbon sequestration and bioenergy crops.
