Summary:

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced Rs 1,003 crore (US$ 120.23 million) in development projects in Ahmedabad to enhance local infrastructure and living conditions. He also launched a statewide tree planting initiative, urging individuals to plant trees in their neighborhoods, schools, and wastelands, with the goal of planting 30 lakh trees in 100 days to improve air quality and protect the ozone layer.

Amit Shah reaffirmed the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), highlighting its aim to restore justice and rights to individuals denied them between 1947 and 2014 due to Congress's policies. He assured the Muslim community that the CAA is designed to grant citizenship to Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain refugees, not to take it away, aligning with the government's commitment to fairness and support for marginalized communities.
