Minister Puri underscored India's urban development aspirations, announcing a $25 billion (Rs.1.57 lakh crore) investment in urban initiatives between 2017 and 2024, equivalent to creating a new Chicago each year. He stated that the number of airports in India will expand from 74 to 150, demonstrating the country's robust growth in the civil aviation sector. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Indian diaspora in health and engineering and expressed gratitude for their support in enhancing India's global profile.
