Summary:

India delivered 4.49 million PCs in Q3 2024, marking a 0.1% year-on-year increase, following a robust 7.1% growth in Q2. Shipments of notebooks and workstations grew by 2.8% and 2.4%, respectively, while desktops saw an 8.1% decline. Premium laptop demand rose by 7.6% due to online festival sales. HP led the market with a 29% share, followed by Lenovo (17.3%), Dell (14.6%), Acer (14.6%), and Asus (9.7%).

Despite vendor discounts, consumer PC sales declined 2.9% year-on-year, attributed to organic demand. However, the commercial segment grew by 4.4%, driven by a 9.6% rise in enterprise sales. Experts predict continued growth as businesses upgrade their IT infrastructure. Increasing PC adoption for gaming, content creation, and AI features is expected to drive consumer demand, offering a positive outlook for late 2024 and early 2025.
