The Google Cloud India AI Hub in Visakhapatnam was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Developed in collaboration with Google, AdaniConneX, and Airtel Nxtra, the project is one of India's biggest FDI projects, requiring an investment of Rs. 1.41 lakh crore (US$15 billion). Nearly 600 acres in Tharluwada, Adavivaram, and Rambilli will make up the 1 gigawatt AI data center. Through cutting-edge AI cloud and data storage infrastructure, it seeks to fortify India's digital ecosystem. Visakhapatnam will be connected to the rest of the world by future subsea cable links. In addition to promoting related sectors and investments, the hub is anticipated to generate jobs in AI, cybersecurity, cloud operations, and data science.
