According to ICRA, Indian airport operators are expected to see 18-20% year-on-year growth in FY26, driven by increased passenger traffic, tariff hikes, and higher non-aeronautical income. Total passenger traffic, including both domestic and international, is predicted to grow by 7–9% year-onyear, reaching 440–450 million. In FY25, international traffic grew by 11%, while domestic traffic increased by 9%, bringing total traffic to 412–415 million.

Over the next four to five years, greenfield airports such as Jewar, Navi Mumbai, Bhogapuram, and Parandur are expected to attract investments of Rs. 1,00,000 crore (US$ 11.61 billion). Brownfield expansions are planned for airports in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin, Mumbai, and Nagpur. International traffic is projected to continue outpacing domestic growth. ICRA forecasts 18-20% YoY revenue growth in FY26, supported by strong profitability and liquidity.
