By 2030, the International Finance Corporation intends to increase its yearly investments in India to Rs. 93,400 crore (US$10 billion), indicating a high level of growth optimism. Between FY22 and FY25, investments increased from Rs. 10,219 crore to Rs. 47,065 crore. Infrastructure, finance, and renewable energy are among the focus areas. With a portfolio of Rs. 96,800 crore in debt and equity, India is the biggest destination for IFC. Banking, manufacturing, and agro are among the industries the IFC supports. More than one-third of investments are equity. In order to finance infrastructure, private sector expansion, investment opportunities, financial inclusion, economic resilience, job creation, and long-term national advancement, it also organizes municipal bond cooperation.
