In line with the objectives of Viksit Bharat and Swasth Bharat, the Biopharma SHAKTI initiative seeks to introduce 100 biologics by 2047. Research, startups, and cutting-edge treatments are being supported by government programs including the PRIP Scheme, National Biopharma Mission, and BIRAC initiatives like BIG, SBIRI, and BIPP. Manoj Joshi, secretary of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, highlighted new capabilities, improved supply chains, and quicker drug discovery. Through the Pharma Excellence Awards, the summit also recognised accomplishments in the industry.
