As per the ‘Building Materials Sector, Talent Trends and Insights’ report by staffing firm Ciel HR, India’s building materials industry is experiencing a strong hiring wave, fuelled by rapid urbanisation, infrastructure push and industrial growth. Recruitment in the sector increased by 30% between Jan 2023 and Jan 2025. With rising disposable incomes likely to further accelerate construction, urban expansion and real estate activity, demand in the building materials space is set to grow. The sector currently employs over 5.5 lakh professionals across India.

Drawing on inputs from 105 companies and 2,763 job postings, the report highlights rising demand for talent skilled in advanced technologies like 3D printing, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT).
