India and Russia have set a target of achieving Rs. 4,41,850 crore (US$ 50 billion) in mutual investments by 2030 to strengthen their economic partnership. The target was discussed at the India-Russia Joint Working Group meeting in Moscow, led by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Russia's Ministry of Economic Development. Both countries agreed to promote private sector participation and joint investments in advanced manufacturing, green hydrogen, energy storage, critical minerals, mining and emerging technologies. India highlighted its economic reforms, investment opportunities and skilled workforce to attract Russian investors. The initiative aims to expand industrial cooperation, strengthen supply chains, boost technology collaboration and support long-term economic growth in both countries.
