Summary:
India’s tyre exports reached a record Rs. 27,312 crore (US$ 3.09 billion) in FY26, up 9% from FY25, despite global supply chain disruptions, high logistics costs and trade uncertainty. The US remained the largest export market, contributing 15% of export value, while Germany, Italy, Brazil and France strengthened demand, highlighting successful market diversification. According to the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA), sustained investments in manufacturing capacity, product innovation and technology have supported this growth. Over the past four to five years, tyre makers invested around Rs. 30,000 crore in expansion projects. With an annual turnover of about Rs. 1 lakh crore, the industry continues to strengthen India’s position as a global tyre manufacturing and export hub.
