Summary:
Following discussions between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President To Lam in New Delhi, India and Vietnam decided to strengthen their partnership and established a $25 billion trade objective by 2030. Defense and security, commerce and investment, atomic and renewable energy, research and technology, marine cooperation, space, and people-to-people exchanges were all discussed. For more economic participation, both nations upgraded their relationship to an Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Thirteen Memorandums of Understanding pertaining to rare earth minerals, digital payments, healthcare, tourism, education, culture, and academic collaboration were inked. With bilateral trade already at $16 billion, India and Vietnam have committed to strengthen resilience supplies, promote My Son Temple Center, link UPI with Vietnam payment systems, and increase agricultural trade.
