The Startup Maha Kumbh 2025, India’s largest startup conclave, is set to take place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from 3rd to 5th April 2025. Organised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), this edition promises to be the biggest yet, with 3,000 startups, double the participation of the previous year and representation from 64 countries, underscoring India’s rising stature in the global startup landscape. A Rs. 50 crore (US$ 5.9 million) grant challenge has been announced to support budding entrepreneurs, alongside exclusive mentorship opportunities. The event will be inaugurated by Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Mr Piyush Goyal and will feature industry masterclasses, high-impact networking sessions and expansive exhibit areas as twice the size of last year’s setup.
A defining feature of this year’s event is the spotlight on tribal entrepreneurship, with over 45 startups, including those nurtured at IITs and IIMs, showcasing their pathbreaking innovations. Startup Maha Kumbh 2025 aims to supercharge India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by fostering public-private partnerships, attracting global investors and unlocking new frontiers of innovation. As India cements its position as the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, this event will serve as a dynamic platform to showcase its ingenuity, ambition and global leadership in entrepreneurship
