According to TeamLease EdTech's Career Outlook Report 2025, more than 74% of Indian firms plan to hire freshers for AI-related positions in the first half of fiscal year 2025. AI roles dominate the job market, reflecting the government's focus on technological advancement and workforce expansion. Employers are prioritizing skills in data visualization, cloud computing, and robotics over degrees, creating opportunities for new graduates to take on high-impact roles and drive industry innovation. The survey polled 649 employers.

E-commerce and tech start-ups plan to hire 70% of freshers, followed by manufacturing (66%) and engineering/infrastructure (62%). Bangalore (78% hiring intent), Mumbai (65%), and Chennai (57%) are major employment hubs. Companies are seeking expertise in robotic process automation, performance marketing, network security, and financial risk analysis. Employers consider productivity/collaboration tools (83%), project management software (73%), and data visualization tools (64%) as essential technology tools.
