On April 29, 2025, Avaada Group signed a deal with the Maharashtra government to develop two pumped storage projects with a combined capacity of 3,600 MW. The projects, Pawana Falyan (2,400 MW) and Sirsala (1,200 MW), will cost Rs. 15,100 crore (US$ 1.77 billion). These initiatives are expected to create more than 3,800 direct job opportunities.

Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, reaffirmed the state's commitment to becoming India's renewable energy capital and ensuring the timely execution of MoUs. Mr. Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, emphasized that these projects are essential to India’s clean energy future, providing grid resilience and uninterrupted renewable energy supply.
