India's electronics production and exports have transformed dramatically over the last decade, driven by regulatory backing and incentives. According to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, manufacturing increased fivefold to ₹11,00,000 crore (US$128.76 billion) in FY25, while exports grew sixfold to ₹3,25,000 crore (US$38.04 billion), resulting in approximately 25 lakh new jobs. He emphasized the global recognition of Indian electronics for their dependability and commitment to intellectual property rights during the launch of VVDN Technologies' SMT Line.
India's evolving design ecosystem fosters indigenous innovation in AI cameras, telecommunications, and power electronics. Cabinet-approved incentives aim to strengthen the manufacturing value chain. VVDN's largest SMT line can process PCBs up to 850mm x 560mm at 2,50,000 components per hour. Its Mechanical Innovation Park supports localization. VVDN, with 11 R&D facilities and 5,000 engineers, plans to add 3,000 more to help India achieve its goal of becoming a global electronics hub.
