Summary:
The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) recorded an 11.86% YoY growth in container traffic in October, processing 614,651 TEUs, up from 549,487 TEUs the previous year. Total freight handled increased slightly, reaching 7.62 million tonnes, a 2.26% rise from October 2023.
In the first seven months of the fiscal year, JNPA's container traffic increased by 13.12%, reaching 4,142,134 TEUs. The total freight volume amounted to 52.42 million tonnes, representing a 5.6% YoY rise. During October, 562 container rakes were handled.
