Summary:

The Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) successfully completed the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 3.0, which ran from November 1-30, 2024. The campaign aimed to simplify the submission of digital life certificates, especially for super senior pensioners. It achieved key milestones through innovative technologies and collaboration with various stakeholders, including pension disbursing banks, the Ministry of Railways, and UIDAI, emphasizing teamwork to improve pensioners' welfare.

 

The DLC Campaign 3.0 generated 1.30 crore certificates, including 39 lakh using Face Authentication Technology, resulting in a 200-fold increase. Over 8 lakh certificates were submitted by retirees aged 80 and above, with India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) offering doorstep service. The nationwide campaign aimed for full coverage, ensuring no elderly pensioner was left behind. With media outreach reaching 122 million, it aligns with Digital India, empowering senior citizens.
