The National Health Authority (NHA) and IIT Kanpur signed an MoU, witnessed by Union Health Secretary Mr. Apurva Chandra. Ms. L. S. Changsan of NHA and Mr. Manindra Agrawal of IIT Kanpur have agreed to develop key components for the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, including AI systems and databases. IIT Kanpur will create these components, while NHA will manage them to enhance health outcomes.

 

Union Health Secretary Apurva Chandra praised the MoU for establishing a public benchmarking platform for AI models and addressing challenges with disease diagnosis data. He highlighted its potential to improve healthcare outcomes through reliable data. Ms. L. S. Changsan noted that the MoU will advance AI in healthcare by providing high-quality data and engagement platforms while ensuring privacy. Mr. Manindra Agrawal emphasized that the partnership aims to democratize quality healthcare and improve access through artificial intelligence.
