Kotak Mahindra AMC will launch a private credit fund next month, targeting $177-236 million to provide debt funding for unlisted companies' acquisitions and capital expansion. Kotak AMC will contribute 20% of the fund, aiming to complete fundraising within a year. These funds offer flexible financing options, especially for companies with lower credit ratings.

 

Kotak AMC's private credit fund targets 13-16% returns, joining a growing market with rising UHNI and family office interest, especially in Tier-II cities. Commitments have surpassed $141.63 billion, with AUM forecasted to reach $60-70 billion by FY28. In H1 FY23, $5.1 billion was deployed, with average deal sizes increasing significantly.
