Summary:

Global Capability Centres (GCCs) in India are expected to create 4.25-4.5 lakh new jobs this year, with one million more anticipated over the next six years and 3.3 million by 2030. India’s skilled workforce and supportive policies make it a top destination for GCCs. According to a survey, 35% of companies plan to expand their workforce by 50-100%, with major hubs in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai, focusing on sectors like technology, finance, and sustainability.

The survey also reveals a significant rise in women’s hiring, with 61% of GCCs planning to increase their female workforce by 50% by 2030, a sharp rise from just 7% this year. India’s GCC market is projected to grow to over 2,100 centers by 2030, reaching a market size of Rs. 8.76 lakh crore (US$ 100 billion). The national framework introduced in the FY26 Budget will accelerate growth, especially in Tier II and III cities.
