During the virtual inauguration of eight new NIDHI Inclusive Technology Business Incubators (i-TBIs) and the launch of the DST-NIDHI website at IIT Delhi, he emphasised the need of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. The new i-TBIs, developed under the NIDHI project, are spread across India's institutions.
He established the DST-GDC IIT Madras Incubate Program for Deep Tech Startups, which is supported by IIT Madras alumni, to help innovators in Tier II and III cities. He applauded the NIDHI program for bridging academic and industrial boundaries and developing a large number of businesses, particularly those run by women. He emphasised the importance of innovation in AI, Quantum Computing, and New Energy in changing India by 2047 and driving economic development.
